Took the wife's 2017 Evoque in for what I thought was going to be a routine pad slap on the rear after the sensor started chirping at us and the service writer comes back with this laminated sheet showing me a number that was honestly so high I thought I'd misread the decimal point and asked him if that included a new set of tires and a weekend at the Burj Al Arab but nope just pads sensors and labor for a compact crossover that shares its bones with a Ford Escape, anyway I politely declined and spent the rest of the afternoon on my phone trying to find a specialist who doesn't think owning a Land Rover means you have a money tree growing in your backyard. A mate from the office sent me https://brakepadreplacementdubai.ae/bran...placement/ and said a few of the JLR guys in his group use them for basic maintenance stuff without the dealership drama, so I've got the car booked in for Thursday morning at a place in Al Quoz that actually answered my email and didn't just give me a vague "bring it in we'll see" response which is already a step above most garages I've dealt with, fingers crossed it goes smooth and I don't end up with a warning light for something completely unrelated by the time I drive home.
