For macOS

1. Go to the VLC Website:
   • Open your web browser and go to https://www.videolan.org.
     
2. Download VLC for macOS:
   • On the homepage, click the "Download VLC" button. It will automatically detect your macOS version and provide the appropriate download.
     
3. Open the DMG File:
   • Once the download is complete, open the
     
     Code:

     .dmg
     file from your Downloads folder. This will open a window with the VLC app.
     
4. Move VLC to Applications:
   • Drag the VLC icon into the "Applications" folder to install it.
     
5. Launch VLC:
   • Navigate to your Applications folder and double-click on VLC to open it. You may be prompted with a warning that VLC is from the internet; click "Open" to proceed.
     
6. Start Using VLC:
   • VLC is now installed and ready for use on your macOS system.
