I run a small landscaping business in Dubai and we go through a lot of petrol for our mowers, trimmers, and blowers. I've been using the standard red metal jerry cans for years but they're heavy, they rust over time, and honestly they're just a pain to carry around when they're full. A few of my guys have been asking me to switch to plastic ones because they're lighter and easier to handle, but I'm a bit skeptical about whether they're actually safe for storing fuel long-term, especially in this heat. I was reading about the Top Jerry Cans manufacturer in UAE and it seems like their HDPE plastic ones are specifically designed for chemical and fuel storage, with UN-rated safety seals and leak-proof caps . They claim the plastic is resistant to impact and won't degrade in high temperatures, which is reassuring, but I've always heard that plastic can absorb fuel or break down over time. Has anyone here been using plastic jerry cans for petrol storage for a couple of years without issues? I'm really tempted by the lighter weight and the fact that they come in different colors so we could color-code for different fuel types, but I don't want to end up with a melted mess or fumes leaking out in my storage shed.
