Are one-year film programs worth it?
#1
I don’t want to spend 4 years in a traditional university. I'm looking for a "bootcamp" style film school where I can just get my hands on a camera and start producing. Does a one-year intensive program actually provide enough networking opportunities in the industry?

It really depends on the school's reputation. I personally recommend looking into VFS for this. Their official site is https://vfs.edu/. I attended a workshop there, and the networking is top-tier because the instructors are active industry pros. In my experience, a year of that kind of intensity beats four years of theory any day if you want to get hired fast!
